Good deal . that's one strange top on that spray can what's the reason for it ?.
This is supposed to go on the bottom of the can, attached to it. I believe they said this is what activates the mixture or activator to the base paint.
Correct.!! That’s it.!
What does the red letters means .?
Volatile Organic Compounds. The pungent vapors that "flash" off when regular spray paint dries. US is a little more lax on them than some countries. From what I know the two part paints are better all around.

What I would do then is spray enough paint into a Pezal to do the job then add some catalyst . unless you have enough other things to touch up you think you can use most of it. just seems like a shame to toss 95% of it away.

Probably this is the best chance to save paint.!
No, I haven’t much things to touch up, so if I mix all the can I will be wasting paint and money.! I’ll ask around and will do what you say, thanks.!
I’ve been reading around looking for the quantity of catalyst to add to the 2K paint. I see some places they say 4:1 and others 2:1.
I guess the 4:1 will take longer to completely dry, and the 2:1 will go much faster. So what do you guys recommend.?
To paint the gas tank cap and some touch ups, maybe the 2:1 formula will work..
Very nice, I like how original you've kept it nothing looks better.
I wouldn't mention it if you didn't have such a nice original look and maybe you know or don't care, but your front fuel tank cap is supposed to be body color. nice pickup.
Hi Dean and all,
I have finally gotten the paint made and the time to dedicate, so here’s how the gas cap looks with the paint matching.
I know the photos are not the best shot, but tomorrow when I take the truck out of the garage, there will be more light and hopefully you can see how good it looks, at least for me.!!!
Just painted this afternoon First shot, in the garage Same place different view
