i just put in the drivers and passenger side insulation panels from the excursion. saw an article at the dieselstop about it and tried it. well worth the money. i first noticed how quiet my brothers excursion was and didn't know why. i never thought it would make that much difference after seeing where they go but it is nice. not as quiet as his truck but i am working on it. just thought i would let you know my experience. it only took about (15 minutes to do it)
i got them for cost but i believe they would be about 50-60 bucks otherwise. just a note i also upgraded my cupholders in my 2000 with the current style also an excellent idea found over there. i think that would be around 40 bucks too. the guy who posted that article said his didn't quite match but mine is spot on.
the passenger side goes from the bottom of the glovebox area back to the firewall and the driver side from the bottom of the dash back to the firewall but it has a slit in it to wrap around the brake pedal. they are black plastic with thick felt on the top side. you need to connect them with the plastic push pins used in autos (not supplied) and an existing bolt/nut on each side. i will post part numbers tomorrow after i find the paper.
