Do TPMS receivers fail?
I have a 2012 F250 with 160k on it. I have a crazy random problem if you ask me. I have had the advance security module and long range antenna. This is been running great for more than a year. No issues. My wife goes to get into the truck, hits the unlock button on keyfob for truck. It does not work, so grabs the other two keys. They also do not work. The keypad works and all three keys start the truck.
She went to drive away as is, but could not unfold the mirrors. I checked the fuse ( #8 on internal fuse box) the fuse was good. The switch was original and a little flaky. I have ordered a replacement switch. Do I need to order a replacement TPM receiver too?
I am just curious if anyone has seen them fail? If so is there a relearn process for either the security modules I need to do and or do I have to relearn all of the tires again?
Thanks,
RocketKatchR.
I did try to do this step last night. I attempted to program or re-program all three keyfobs that were programmed with this truck. None of them were "received" by the truck. I forgot to mention in this thread that I connected the ForScan tool to the truck and it could not read DTC from the TPM module. I could not find a fuse listed for the TPM module. Is it connected directly to a BCM?

1: power mirrors will not function/ fold or unfold ( switch was flaky or failing. new switch on order)
2: all keys will not work with remote access ( attempted to reprogram ( 8 off-on, then push unlock on each of the remotes. No signal receive nor horn honk when this was attempted)
3: ODBII port has no power. (had to use usb cable to connect ForScan)
4: ForScan reports error reading DTC codes from TPM module (could not reset it) I could not find a fuse labeled for it in the manual. I did unplug and plug back in the module just in case. :-)
I will also note after re-reading the steps above that the Keypad still works. I never got through the keys, so I never got to press the last two keys of the key pad.
But that sure fits the bill for all the issues, Diag port (check), power folding mirrors (check), and RKT (check), Thank you for help me read or see my possible problem... LOL As soon as I clock out of my home office I will check it out. Many thanks again Larry!!!!!! I owe you another beer when you make it up to Anchorage.

That did the trick, while I was still on the clock at the home office. I had my son locate and pull the fuse that was blown. Then had my wife drive to auto parts store with part in hand to get a pack of replacements. Had my son reinstall and she was back in business with folding mirrors and RKT with the keyfobs. That was a strange issue that popped up all of a sudden. But I guess that is just the way it goes. Oddly while she was driving around later yesterday, the circuit breaker for rear window slider tripped. There are some strange things happening with this truck.....
I pulled the breaker, rubbed it, said a prayer.... reseated it and the rear window slider started to operate as normal.
As for the drive to AK, that is one heck of a drive is it not? A sight to behold. We are a privileged few that have seen it. The rest can say they have "seen it on TV"
Thanks again for your help sir as always!

Driving to AK as on my bucket list for many years. I had driven up to Dawson Creek many times and vowed one day to drive the AlCan. In July of 2005, I woke up one morning and said it was time to do it. I will never forget the spectacular scenery up and back. I also drove up the Haul Road to the Arctic Circle, another check mark on the bucket list. It was jut me and my old 95 F350 4dr dually. Old truck slept good, lol I got home right before hurricane Katrina hit and screwed up prices on everything. I have always said I would like to drive up again and take longer this next time instead of the 7 weeks the last time.
