Long story short. In 2015 I had to have a shop do some work to my truck while on a road trip.
They installed the tuner. Only drove the truck about 4k miles over the next 3 years or so. "Trucks only seen 6000 miles in 5 years."
Hook up the toy hauler for a trip, get the wife, kids and dogs all loaded up, go to load my tow tune and it won't start.
Jody SAVES the trip and emails me a stock tune to load and get her going again.
About a year later I follow up to get my 12 tunes reloaded.. John at Emotion emails me the tunes and I load them to the memory card. Try to load them in my truck and nothing.
Got pissed and never followed up.
Ready to start towing and driving her again regularly and tried to load the tunes, again.
No go. It shows my tunes are there, but won't load them. Says I need to reload stock tune...
Ideas? Hardware issue? Software issue?
or dumb old man issue?
Emailed E-motion. Waiting to hear back.
This may be why they discontinued them, they were for sale last year in December and I went to buy one in January of this year and I was told they pulled them all and are no longer for sale. I just got the run around when I called asking what happened. Called e motion and they couldn't give me any answers either, so not sure what happened , just seemed very odd.
Loved this thing when it worked. Tunes were great. Having most my info in one gauge nice.
Waste of $1200 now. Pretty upset about it.
Going to cause me to cancel yet another camping trip.

that is definitely a bummer. Jodi can't help you with it? Hopefully you will still be able to use it for gauges and a scan tool at least. I guess I know what to expect when my infinity takes a dump
Check how the tuner chip fits on the PCM J port. Pull the PCM out and see if some corrosion set in. Clean with a pencil eraser. Pics if you can so we can get more eyes on the problem.

I have an older Infinity for sale if someone really wants one. Putting it in the classifieds right now before I forget again.
Stock injectors.
I like having the tunes. Who wouldnt.
I do think the tow tunes I had helped with EGTs and the milage tunes helped also. Not to mention the power tunes are fun.

I asked because you said it was going to cancel a trip.
Yeah, I like my tunes too - but the truck gets the job done Stock. Hell, I drove my truck on a 1500mi vacation trip pulling a trailer with STOCK tunes and single shot injectors a couple years ago because I fried my PCM and didn’t have tunes that worked on the PCM I found to use...

I understand. I did this the other day with a totally stock truck. It was only an hour away, but some long, steep mountain grades between here and where the truck was. This is probably 13k lb load...

I was tugging through Central Colorado. Some of the grades are long and steep. Pyrometer wasn't working either so it was a slow, half pedal drive to.be safe.
