any body ever tune there truck and then not be able to detune it so you can tow , i used my tuner a hundred times, then i wanted to tow my trailer and couldnt get the tune out or even change to a lower setting , the tuner says i didnt save my stock progam, and it says i already have a performance tune installed, i guess ill have to get the truck reflashed and thats 85 bucks i could have used for fue,l really not to thrilled! its stuck in the 100 hp tune
Just wondering, what tuner did this happen with? I have heard of guys saying that they knew someone, who knew someone....who had that happen....but I have not first hand seen it before. Did anything odd get done, or get noticed the last time it was tuned? Was the tuner updated before you returned the PCM to stock maybe? Just trying to figiure out the what and why of the matter.....
Sorry to hear that, it does suck when your day goes bad, but we all face it at times. Hang in there.....
i did not notice anything diferent when i tuned it last, everything else works perfect with it, its a Diablosport, and i was perfectly happy with it i liked the features, but with the problems i have been having i think ill get a different tuner .

Wow and ouch!
Alcohol will do alot of things: it'll make anybody pretty, make you believe any lie, pick a fight with somebody twice your size, make you new friends, or even get you fired from work; but I guess it also makes you run over your tuner.
Which tuner did you end up getting?
(The above was quoted from Brad Paisley's "Alcohol" )
Frdtruckpuller (Larry) is probably not aware of this but a few weeks ago we had a problem with a predator. The guy showed up at the shop and it was doing the same thing. I switched him to a SCT and now he is very happy.
p.s. that was larry above on my laptop in the shop.
well i went with the edge , havent gotten to the dealer to reflash yet so i dont know how its gonna work but i hear good things about them.everyone i tell about what happend , cant believe it,the wife was not pleased with me for wasting money on the first one, so i didnt tell her about new setup.
this just happened to me this morning...just got my new sct tuner, put in the 80 hp econo tune, and went to try to start the truck, and it threw 2 codes and wouldn't start...one code was security, truck disabled, the other was comp something or other...i tried twice, and the truck just turned over real fast, i then tried to upload the stock tune, and it said none in storage!!...so i cleared the codes, and put the tune back in, and it finally started, but now im wondering what happened to the stock file?, is it gone forever?...all this happened 1 hour before work, so i didnt even adjust anything else as far as tranny shift, and wot shift....so any suggestions on what happened, and suggestions on how to adjust this tuner??
