Alright so I know theres lots of threads about this, plenty of info to look through, but hopefully some one who knows can give a reader's digest version and save me alot of home work.
I have an 04 f350 extended cab long bed srw, I am going to build a custom flat bed and want to convert to dual rear wheels. My question is which years and models can be used for the front direct swap, and which years and models can be used for the rear direct swap? And which years have axles that could be, within reason modded to fit?
I'm a boilermakermaker, pipefitter, certified welder, so mods to the axle and/or truck wouldnt be too difficult for me to do. That being said the closer I can get to a drop in and bolt up swap the better off I'll be.
For sure a set of dually axles from 99-04 will bolt in ver minimal if any modification, once you get to 05 and newer the rear will still bolt in I believe but the shocks mounts might be different. Then in 08, I think, they change the bolt pattern for dually

another question, are all superduty frames 37-3/4 for styleside, and 34 for chassis cab? are there any other trucks other than ford that share the dana 80 that fit our trucks and have the proper dimensions?
