Found a d60 out of a 99 F350 and am wondering if everything will swap over easy into my 95 f250, including my brake calipers and rotors as well as rims, also curious what kind of driveshaft I'll need to get because I know that the Tcase pinion is a different size on the 350. Both are leaf sprung so I think It should bolt directly to mine as long as I won't damage anything. Any help is really appreciated thank you.
The d60 from I think 86 to 97 is the axl you want and is a bolt on.
the spring pad location and wheel bolting pattern is different on the newer d60.
But a superduty axle swap can be done...
The superduty axle swap is a nice upgrade with the superduty springs... there's a couple companies making kits to do it... but you will need the newer wheels to go with the newer axles... unless you found some wheel adapters to change back to the 8x6.5... don't know if you could.
I did mine with a d60 from an 89 f350 and for the most part it was a bolt on...
A search of obs ford SAS or axle swap will give you lots to read.
none of you parts will fit. different brakes, different wheels, different wheel bearings, different universals, different spring width, different everything, .
can it be done??? yes, but it is definitely not a "bolt in" deal. fabrication is required .
for your 89, any 86 to 97 F350 axle will work.
axle, springs, trac bar and bracket, all steering components including pitman arm, and driveshaft.
the 96-97 (maybe 95 too) axle uses different brake hardware, and will not interchange with the earlier axles.
KP axles are getting harder to find though..
If I were to do it over again Id use Super Duty axles on my truck. You can get a PMF RSK and upgrade your suspension at the same time. Find a matching 10.5 Sterling gor the rear and pick out a new set of wheels.
