48 F3 Parking Brake & Gauge Senders
Howdy
I'm about to make my last big part order, but the parking brake is an unknown.
I got a ford 8.8" rear end in there, and would like to use the stock parking brake setup with the rotating lever with adjustable clevises.
I have the original Timken rear end, and the cables are intact but i fear the cables are incompatable. I also need the clevis and cable to run between the ratchet assembly and crossmember lever, and i don't see a source for anything other than F1 drum cables which are not compatable.
I have no idea what i'm doing here, and if anyone who's been there could help me out i'd apprecaite it.
Also, i would like functional gauges but i have a 302 and 12 volt electrics. Is it possible to get 12 volt flathead senders adapted to the 302? Or elsewise, 302 senders that output in the right range? I know i'll have to run a 6 volt reducer, but knowing ford, they might well have kept the same gauge spec for 70 years.
Thanks.

I can do without the gauges if need be, but i would like to know if the motor's about to blow up if at all possible.
I'll give that a look, thanks.
