yes easily, my chipped 02 7.3 would pull 120. It was about done. It had 330 and 650 ft lb so the 6.7 would have no problem. Now should you trust the tires and the drive shaft at that speed. Tires no, haven't had a shaft out of one yet to see what it is but I wouldn't want to have one fail at that speed. Until the limiter is gone you don't need to worry! Cj
Driveshaft failure is definitely a hell of a scary thing. Friend had a neglected ujoint let go on his 98' Jeep while he was running 70mph down the highway. Completely ripped the exhaust in half, broke the transfer case into 3 pieces hanging by the chain, and broke the tailshaft housing on the transmission, among a few other things. Funny thing being a week prior after taking a ride in it i told him multiple times "You better change that joint out before it lets go, its gonna do a lot of damage". He's just lucky the thing didn't come blowing through the floor.
2019 Lariat with 6.7, CCSB with 3.55 gears, 20 inch tires and still totally stock, hits speed limiter at 98MPH. I don’t have to push down hard on gas petal, very easy to hit 98MPH in 6th gear. Only turning 2450 RPM when limiter kicks in.
No desire to increase top speed, 8K pound, 84” tall truck, tires speed rating at 106MPH and factory stock driveshaft is pushing the limits at that speed.
Run between So.Ca-Phoenix on I-10 and So.Ca-Las Vegas on I-15 regularly and not uncommon for left lane to run 90+MPH and truck feels stable at these speeds. Have pulled Cajon pass on I-15, unloaded, at 90MPH and was still in 6th gear. Ambient temperature was 100F, oil temp was 215F and transmission was 208F. Powerstroke is a HOSS!!!
