i have a 2003 f350 i recently just took the cab off and put new injectors head studs on the engine and when i put the cab back down and started driving it i noticed that the speedometer doesnt work its just stays at 0 the odometer read the mileage but it doesnt move stay at the same number and the cruise control doesnt work.... everything worked perfectly fine before i pulled the cab
list of things ive tried so far
checked every connector make sure i didnt miss one or didnt have one plugged in
changed the vss on the rear axle housing
im at a complete loss where this issue is what could be causing it any help would be amazing!! thank you in advanced
Since the speedometer and odometer are not working., my first guess is they are not receiving the VSS single. Since you lifted the cab you would have had to D/C connector C135 which is under the master cylinder. This connect is where the all the speed sensor go through for the ABS connector. If it is connected it is possible one of the pins got bent and isn't making contact.
I have enclosed some pics of the pinout and connector location. The only not perfect part is they are for a 05.
my abs control module is mounted up by the driver side head light i remember disconnecting it because it ha that slide tab that locks it in place ill check it out thank you very much
