I am studding my motor and took hpop cover off and the screen on the end of the ipr sensor fell down in block and disappeared should I pull pan or hope for the best? I’d appreciate your input
Get a $30 borescope and look for it. I have a Depstech that is bluetooth and has a light and attachments that might be able to ****** it. You could locate it with the borescope and maybe grab it with one of those flexible three prong grabbers.

do you think it will damage anything ? It doesn’t seem like it’s made of much except the stainless screen but it’s not very big
You asked my advice and I gave it. If it were my engine and I couldn’t locate it I would pull the engine and tear it down and reseal everything while it was apart but I’m over the top. I’m not going to tell you to just put everything back together and send it then a week later you’re crying about a catastrophic engine failure. Do what you want but I gave my advice. Dropping the pan would be the second step if you couldn’t find it. The Depstech bluetooth borescope is only $30-35 on Amazon.
I wouldn't pull the engine but I would make an effort to get it out of the engine. Dropping the oil pan isn't that difficult on a 4wheel drive but it may not have fallen all of the way down there.
Do you mean the screen on the IPR valve? if so, how did you drop it off?
you dont mention the year of the truck, the later models the IPR would have to be removed before the cover
it’s an 06 and yes your correct but the valve came out without the screen and I’m new to this and I didn’t notice it but when I took the air blower to everything I stuck it in the hole and the screen came out and down in the block but I’ve tried air everywhere in the motor and I hope it’s in the pan so I’m going to try my luck and leave it I got another screen out of my 04 so we will see
FWIW, I dropped one of the HPOP discharge bolts in there one time. Dropped just perfectly. I panicked for a couple hours with magnets and everything but eventually went on. I bumped the starter at the battery before I put everything together. Didnt hear any klunks so on I went. To this day I'm assuming it's at the bottom of the oil pan somewhere.
