Thanks, however I am in eastern Canada near Maine, to ship and import something from California would not be feasible. I picked up the mercury box over the weekend and after taking some measurements It will need to have a section added to the front only as the rear is the same.
why didn't you look for 63-66 boxes if you are gonna change the box anyway that way the body lines would be correct thru & thru If your heart is set on sectioning anyways either way 57-60 or 63-66 its gonna be an equal challenge to butt em up.

I thought the same and had to look at photos. Bed looks same. The unibodies had the line that angled down towards rear. I would like to find an econoline pickup.
I hadda real nice 8 foot 64-66 8 foot box a number of years ago used it as a trailer when we built our house to haul loads to the dump with my tractor. And also for hauling landscape materials around the property. Unfortunately after the building was all done and over with both the tractor and trailer had to go as there is no room to keep them around. Couldn't for the life of me find anyone at that time who wanted the box, advertised it all over including in the "Old Autos" and had no bites, so gave it to brother in law to use around his property and with a lotta hard use he finally pretty much destryed it.
Econoline pickups do come up for sale more often than you think, just gotta keep eyes on kijiji and the like. Here's mine: https://www.pinterest.ca/pin/3077929...pMN6kcTi1kcyw5
