UPDATE :

Took the truck back in at 750 miles to have everything retorqued and alignment addressed at the shop that did the installation.

They drove the truck. Agreed that it had a "floating" feeling and blamed it on the tires. Said the alignment numbers I attached originally above were the recommendation by Readylift. I asked where he got that info, because the Readylift installation instructions specifically says a realignment back to the Ford factory specs is necessary. Guy argued that that was incorrect. Spoke with manager and got the same response. Whats wild is the number of these kits they are putting on trucks. I have been in there 3 times now and each time there were at least 2 F250s getting the same Readylift SST 2.5" installed by them.

I will follow up with a local alignment shop I saw recommended on here. I spoke to that shop over the phone on Thursday and the guy chuckled and said, Yes Sir, bring it in. We get these all the time. We can get you where you need to be.

So the cost of my lift just went up another $100-$200. One day I will just learn to leave these damn trucks alone and as they are from the factory.

I’d say the lesson learned here is to use a different shop from now on that doesn’t half *** stuff. Good luck getting it dialed in and let us know what you find out. I still haven’t put mine on the rack, drivers perfect with the included Carli caster shims

Hell there aren't really any other shops that do any better is what I have found. They all suck in some form or fashion, which is a shame being that I'm in the 4th largest city in the country. So far the best shop was Autonation Ford in Katy of all places and were actually the least expensive too.

Team in Navasota is actually where I picked this 2019 up from!

Back in the day, I had put 285/16/70 BFGs on stock 2001 F350 wheels. Going down the freeway was fine, but do a lane change and it felt like I floated. Quick movements of the steering wheel was like driving a boat.

I put some wider wheels (from 7s to 9") on and it cleared things right up.

I don't see a "Yea That" emoji but this is certainly something to consider. Getting the alignment correct is absolutely number one priority but if the "stock upgrade" wheels are 8" wide that could be part (or alot) of the sloppy feel with those 37x12.5's on them.

you were right down the road from us. We do a lot of business with team ford. Great folks. Your experience is why our Jeep shop does so much business and our customers are so happy. It’s not much more work to do the right thing. The fact they are standing by their guns on not at least returning the caster to spec shows their level of knowledge. If you get caster shims, bring them up and I’ll help you install them. Maybe take an hour for both and most of that is chatting

Just FYI, its a solid axle, nothing is going to change in the alignment when you level except for the caster. You need a 2 degree caster shim, or an adjustable to try to get you back into the 3.3-3.6 range. That will take the float away.

Yes sir, I came up a few weeks ago when that crazy storm blew through in the middle of a Thursday. I ended up having to run South all the way to Katy from it to get around it before sneaking up behind it to Navasota. It was pretty wild to drive through and finally I U-turned it to get away. I am told that they are shut down until further notice due to the Corona now? I drove by there on Sunday but forgot to look for a sign to see if they were still closed down.

I sure appreciate your offer! Its a pretty good haul up there for me unless I happen to be driving through, so I plan on having an accredited alignment shop that I found throw in the shims and get me on the road. From everywhere I've seen in my research and echoed by Tricon, I need 2 degree shims to get me to the 3-3.6 range. I put 750 miles on it this weekend and there is a noticeable change in the floating. Its driving much better. Again, thanks for extending the help.

I pulled my enclosed trailer with it today and noticed the floating feeling came right back though, so some weight on the rear causes it to return.
