Installing Bilstein steering stabilizer, factory manual states 67 ft lb steering damper to drag link, but Bilstein says 36 ft lb, 36 doesn't seem, in my opinion, enough.
I am assuming that the pivot point is the rubber
bushing, therefore you want the portion that goes into the drag link tight (as it was a pain to remove the factory one)
I am installing one this weekend on my 2015 4X4 F250. do you reuse the factory hardware/bolt? If so, I am going with the factory spec. If you are using their new hardware, I would probably go to about 40 and stop.
I went with the Rancho damper, since mine is broken and its available now. The place I ordered my Bilstein shocks from were out of stock on the damper.
Little late to the party here, but just installed mine today, and went with 67ft-lbs on each end. Just seemed too loose with only 40 or 50, especially considering how hard it was to take off.
