Had a Fox Steering Stableizer put on last week and I would highly recommend it to anybody who was thinking of doing one. It is a single one and made a world of differance, The truck fills more controlled over bumps and just all around driving. The Fox is a split valved 50/50 nitrogen gas charged shock oposed to the factory and Rancho style oil filled shocks. The cost was around 135.00. Well worth it IMO. Heres the link go to steering / bump stop and click the 2.0 steering damper..
I'm curious which one you used, as I measured the stock unit at ~12" collapsed, and ~23" extended, neither of 2 fox units fall near these specs? Can you check and see which part number you have, and if it is indeed mounted to the same brackets as stock, or if the brackets were moved?
I need a new steering stabilizer and already have the Fox external resevoir shocks on the truck, so it would make a nice addition..

Ok here is the direct replacement part # for the Fox steering damper #98099099A. I love this thing. I would go through this place Kar Tec Offroad. http://www.kartek.com/test.htm Also 4 wheel parts can get them
I received mine today, and removed my old one, but something doesnt seem right, can you measure the body of your fox unit for me? The one I received seems about 6 inches or more too long.. I'll see if I can attach some pics I took with my junky camera phone..
I appear have a lot of "play" in my steering. I can turn the steering wheel .5" before the front wheels start to turn. I have at least 1" of play when turning the wheel both directions. The dealership says it's within specs.
