Can anyone tell me if the 2017 F250 comes with a factory steering stabilizer? TIA!

Yes, that is the mounting point for the stabilizer.

What did you do with yours?

Just saw the question under the answer.

Well, the lift installer removed it. Which is fine because there is a BDS single stabilizer that is supposed to replace it. Problem is...they didn't install the new one. They didn't receive the part. It's on order now.

I just wonder why it wasn't mentioned to me after install and before I drove away. They had to realize that when they removed the factory and didn't have the new part, something was wrong.

Ya that seems like poor customer service. I'm not sure how safe it is to drive around without it. If you get a case of the death wobbles it could be bad.

What happened that made you look for it?

Squirrely handling. The steering wheel doesn't seem as stable as it should be. So, I'm still needing an alignment. I believe my tires might be slightly over-inflated for unloaded use. I'm just looking into what might be giving me the kind of "ride" I'm experiencing.
I know that there was supposed to be a steering stabilizer installed with the BDS kit. I didn't think to check it until I got home.
Yeah, the longer I marinate the thought of nothing being said about the stabilizer, the more aggravated I get.

hey man. I am actually putting together my BDS kit to order. Did you have to ask for a steering stabilizer or do the kits include them?

Both the 4" and 6" kits come with a single stabilizer. You should not have to ask for it. But in my recent experience, if someone such as an installer is ordering it, make sure you go over all the items included.

I couldn't tell you for sure. I had the installer order it, but I'm not sure when he ordered. Supposedly there wasn't much of a lead time on it.

i should say, I believe he had the kit in under a week.

Is there a good replacement yet for the factory stabilizer on a stock truck?
