Help I am replacing my HPOP on my 06 6.0 super duty , when I did the air pressure test I found a leak on the back lower port . Is this a bleed off vavle or is it supposed to have a plug ? I need to know before I put it back together .
Are you sure the HPOP itself is bad? Typically on the 05 and up trucks it's the HPOP fitting between the rear of the pump and the block that's bad, not the HPOP itself.

HEY SMACKDADDY I had 2 bad injectors. HPOP wasnt the problem I just wanted confirmation that the lower rear port is a relief valve. Lol the last engine I rebuilt , the "snap to fit" fitting flew off and broke the back aluminum plate all caused by the factory oil cooler being clogged with casting sand . Really bad chain reaction.

If you are calling the rear lower port -- the one behind the drive gear? - than that is the IPR blow off hole, air will come out that if the IPR is not energized
