I need a little bit of help. i have searched my tail off to find leaf springs for my 02 f 150 xlt super crew. i got only 3 finds and each was $250.00 each per 1 spring. i mean its only a basic leaf spring. should i just got for a higher rating one or just upgrade?
I can't help you with that, but in case you didn't know, depending on where you live, there may be a spring shop in your area that can re-arc or install springs on your truck. They will arc them to the height or spring rate you need.
the code i found on mine was 69, only thing i am not sure on is the was the one looked that he did send me it had 1 flat and 3 curled. wasn't sure if the had anything to do with it but i have 4 and all mine are curled

I would concur, when I (my brother) broke a spring (because he overloaded the truck) I went to a spring shop where they built a new spring and re-arced the other to match. I also asked about up sizing the springs and the reply was that the ride would be stiffer when you were empty and the springs would have capacity beyond what the rest of the truck was designed for; you don't want to get back in a situation where something else is overloaded and fails, so what's the point …. ? (and no, my brother did not pay for the spring, he brought back the truck and said it was "pulling to the left when he picked it up" and it was the alignment shop that pointed out the broken spring. Last time I've ever loaned my truck out).
