I usually hangout on the older F-100 side of the house but I’ve got a E150 problem. I bought a E150 steering column but the guy wasn’t positive what year it was. He “Thought” it was a 1984. While cleaning it up I’ve found the turn signal switch is broken. While trying to find a replacement switch I see there are changes between the early 80s and 84 columns. Is there a way to ID my steering column? It doesn’t have an ignition switch built into the column but is tilt and has cruise control.

Steering wheel and horn pad were used on 1978/87 F100/350, Bronco & Econoline, but...
There are different Speed Control switches and T/S switches.

Then there's this: 1980/87: OFF ON RESUME SET ACCEL COAST
With or without a tilt steering wheel makes a difference with the T/S switch. Tilt wheel operated by pressing the T/S Handle forward.
1978/79 use different T/S switches than 1980 and later.

I bet that is a late 77 or 78/79 column, I think (like guess) that in 1980 they key moved into the steering column. (AGAIN I GUESS) So that looks like an earlier column. Getting an 80 ish horn pad with the cruise button to fit the older (earlier) years works. You have to do some rewire to get the horn to work.
With that piece opposite of the horn pad it is a 78/79.... I am 99% sure.
You mean Roy Scott's? Toss up on finding a good one. I might be heading up that way tomorrow AM for some other FTE member parts, I will look for you.
T/S switch is separate from the cruise control. T/S switch is same (I think) with or without cruise control. You can use that center piece/horn button (with cruise) on a none cruise control truck, I know that for sure. Just have to cut off a few wires not used on the back side of the pad and just connect 2 to get the horn to work. I have pics of that set up, and that is what the PO did on the blue truck.
