Original steering wheel?
Pulled this from a 79' XLT Bronco this weekend. Do you think this wheel is original to the truck? Is there a part number for it?

Looks like the correct wheel for an XLT w/ cruise control. I'm sure a part # exists, but someone else will have to say what it is.

It had a cover over the wheel, but it's probably the best shape of any I have found.

If you stole that when you got the bucket seats...good for you. That thing is in awesome shape.
That wood grain does look a little larger than normal...

The shell was still intact and there was a roll bar. Aside from that I got everything else salvageable.

No part numbers marked on parts after 1956, only casting and ID engineering numbers (when applicable).
See post #8 for part numbers.

How would I find out if this is the wheel that came with this truck?

It's correct for 1978/79, I had the same wheel with Speed Control (and tilt wheel) on my 1979 Lariat Super Cab I bought new. 1971/77 steering wheel is different.
If the optional tilt wheel is present, it's operated by pressing the T/S handle
forward.

All my bronco's that had the XLT steering wheel looked like Rich's with the silver trim around the horn pad BUT other than that it appears to be OEM correct. Since it has the FORD oval with a number beside it of "13K802" it would be correct for these trucks & broncos. Maybe the silver has worn off??

Looks very well kept. Barely any rub on the woodgrain. Was thinking maybe it's off something newer.
