Horn short

Horn short
My fuse for the horn in my 84 Bronco blows as soon as you plug it in. It doesn't have a relay, I checked the lighter for a short, I checked the horns, and the and contacts on the steering wheel, all good. Any one have an idea?

Always a tricky one, you definitely have a short somewhere. You'll have to pull up a wiring diagram and trace all the wires in this system. Could be a fray in the wiring cover somewhere and its rubbing the body grounding it out. Of all the troubleshooting on older vehicles, I hate electrical the most. This is for a 1990 but I close to certain it is the same for our 84s. I'm not at home where I could pull up my actual service manuals. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#&gid=1&pid=1
