1989 F-150 wiring diagram/horn not working
hi all!
I have a newly acquired 1989 F-150 that I'm doing a restoration on with my daughter. Looking for a sensible wiring diagram for the horn set up. This is a 4x4, manual, no speed control, 4.9 6 cylinder. I have the Ford manuals, but they really lack lots of details especially on wiring for this vehicle.

get a 1989 evtm...from experience on those horns, take straight 12v positive to the horns directly. If they are good and go honk, check the 12vn power going to them when the horn button is pushed, If no power when the horn button is pushed, it's usually the horn pad making lousy connection to the steering shaft inside the column. Then a new horn pad will usually alleviate that problem,.
for the record, I have used push buttons on the dash straight from a fuse off the battery will alleviate alot of work.
