check ur wiring. i tink u can google for the wiring diagram. also, when u trace it to the engine, check for chaffing on the wires by the horn. it could also be a dead horn and u jus need to change it. i'd go for the air horn upgrade anytime! lmfao!

too bad mine aint dead yet.

I believe the horn is ahead/below the battery on the passenger side. I think you get to it by reaching up from below the bumper/laying under the truck. Seems like it's easy to see when your changing the external tranny filter. Been a little while since I was under that end of the truck & too cold to go do it right now. Yes, I'm that lazy some days.

Appears my Google-foo is weak today for some reason but I can't find the wiring diagram

If anyone has it hook a brotha up , no hurry gonna be playin Santa for a few days but I'll tinker around with it after that....

Cruise works fine so I don't think it's the clock spring and the fuse is good so it's gotta be a bad horn or a wiring issue.... Is there a way just to ground the wires at the horn to eliminate / or prove that it's the culprit ?

Thanks fellas

You can pull the wire off the terminal and run a 12V hot to the terminal...it should blow your ear drums as soon as you do. If not, either the horn or a crappy ground is to blame.

zhilton has a good idea, exbowtieguy. i completely missed it. tat whole 12v hot wire. yep. if it dont work, either a bad horn or crappy ground wire. wont be tat hard to trace by tat point when ur under there. although i rarely hear a dead horn. they dont seem to die tat easily, do they? i'm leaning towards the train horn package. hehehe.

I know its a dual tone horn, and on my 05 at least one of them was in my passenger side fender. Saw it through on of the holes, said to h#// with that and just wired up my new one to a switch.

remove fender liner. disconnect horn, put test ligh in place of horn. hit horn button and see if test ligh blub lights up. if so you need a horn. pretty simple.
