Ford 361FT Gasket Set and Exhaust Manifold Trials

I'm having a really tough time finding a gasket set for the 361FT in my F600 1978. Need at least the manifold gaskets maybe the heads if that's the only way to get the manifolds off. Are there cross referenced ones or does likea a 330 or 390 kit work? NAPA doesn't show any gaskets what so ever for the 361ft, and a lot of what I'm finding on the internet might say it's for a 361 but when you look at it it says it's a 330 set. Also if anyone has tricks to pulling manifold bolts let me know, it's a bane right now of my existence, got one bolt out, broke another off, the others aren't budging .
Thanks for the help

The full gasket kit can be had from Agkits.com. You may need to call them but the full kit is 93.00 and fits all the FT engines except the 330MD.

Thanks we ended up taking the heads etc off and then got the bolts out once everything was outside of the truck.

Any recommendations on bolts to put them back in? Don't know if folks use brass still or stainless etc that might not be such monsters if I ever had to take them out again!
Thanks

Use studs with nickel high temp anti seize.

Looking now for an intake manifold gasket as the kit I got I was told was an FT kit but was apparently an FE gasket kit. Do you know if the head gaskets are the same for each as we put the ones in the kit in, should I pull them off and get FT head gaskets or does that matter at all?
Thanks
Erik

The head gaskets were no different between the two engine series, I don't think. Maybe in terms of composition to withstand high combustion temps? Intake and exhaust gaskets are different, yes.

Side note: My memory is fuzzy, but I seem to recall the FelPro conversion gasket set (top end) included the 330MD exhaust gaskets.

Yes removing bolt is a miserable job. Bolts freeze or rust build up is usually at the cast
manifold and the bolt. I use lots of heat and a little tapping. I replaced with stainless bolts and never seize. Far as gaskets - just went to Napa and got them for a 391.

Napa has them.
The steel heat shield exhaust gaskets hold up much better than the composition type. Studs with flange nuts are much easier to work with.
Good luck with your project.

Paint the steel gaskets with anti-seize.Rusting together (even with a steel gasket) will cause the manifold to crack as it expands and then can't contract. I got the idea when I pulled the cracked manifold from my highboy the week after my brother gave/sold it to me in 1985. The manifold was rotted to the head, and the steel gasket just helped it stick.

Years after I did that, I read a Ford service bulletin or somewhere in a Motor's manual maybe, where they said to use anti-seize the same way I did.

I agree the steel is better with the stock manifolds, as long as the head and manifold are straight. I used to take a composite 330FT exhaust gasket and cut it to fit my headers, but that's another story
