Finally, finally finally. I signed papers tonight for the refinance. Ive been driving my truck, working on the ford, making some money moves. things are going alright. Next step is coming up with a little cardio plan/workout at home. Dog and I worked ourselves hard for about 20 to 30 tonight. Did some muscular things last night. tomorrow back on the muscle with minor cardio and minor alcohol. baby steps to get out of this hole ive been in
Glad to hear it's coming around for you. Life is a cycle of ups and downs, the hard part is trying to level out the peaks and valleys.
No damage from storms here, I did get some leaves and oak tassels in the pool.
i got damage from the storm sunday night. Came home from my girls house, my grille was on its side, branches all over, shingles from the neighbors roof on my lawn.
I have been buying parts for the caddy like crazy but I have managed to pay extra on some bills and throw some in savings.
I got into it with one the mechanics today, he has been a total A@#$%hole the past few weeks. The GM knows he has been a real pain and heard about us going at it and threatened to fire him if he does not lose the attitude. I swear this guy is bi-polar.
We were blessed. The tornado touched down at the end of the road. (Walking distance). Did not even blow the trashcan over. The east side of the county is where it was bad.
Yay it's Friday!!
We were wide open but it has slowed down the last few days. We can finally clean up the shop some. Buying me a new pressure washer for the house thru work. We really need a new one and getting an RB400. The 200's are OK but I wanted a robust one since we use one every year cleaning the house and driveway. Since the GM got onto the guy everything has been a lot better. Still waiting on my uncle donald check to drop into my account.
Got the new pressure washer out yesterday afternoon and started cleaning the parking pad, this thing is fantastic!! It has more than enough pressure and is going to make cleaning the sidewalks and house so much easier and faster. I have been driving the dodge only to the dump and back for the past few weeks and the transmission seems to be working fine now, I might drive it to work one day this week and see how she does. We took the caddy out on a small trip yesterday to pick something up for the wife. She rode so smooth on the highway, All the work was worth it and she is going to turn out to be a super nice vacation vehicle. Think I am going to try and do the rear main seal next weekend. That is the last big repair and then I can do the front shocks and brakes later.

We should finish the carpentry work on the back bath today Here the vanity we built. She cut the lumber on the mill, then helped me process it , build it and stain it. We got the sink at a salvage place. total 50.00
I love my wife. I need to get a pancake compressor for stuff in here vs dragging the big on or hoses up here. I had to show the different style of compressors She said make a list. We get to HF ask are we walking the aisle? As I am teaching her power tools she is asking questions put her hands on controls to see how the fit. She like the feel of the compound miter saw, she like using the one we have now but it does not fit her hand well. Went to the router bit section she saw all the different profiles and noticed the 15 piece set was on sale. Well the 39.00 pancake turned into 240.00 of stuff. When we finished loading she tells me we need to budget 200.00 for HF each month
My wife will never get rid of the Hummer. It is great for in town and short trips but rides stiff on the highway and lots of tire noise. We had the back for the Hummer completely full of luggage and stuff before we left on our first Disney World trip. Our daughter doesn't go with us now but the extra room in the caddy is going to be nice. The Caddy has more overall room, rides a ton better, also a lot quieter and built in Navigation.
Finished pressure washing the parking pad today since we had a break in the rain for a little while. Also did some of the concrete flower bed blocks. I did this at the end of the summer last year and it all is dirty looking again.
Looking good.
We have been pretty steady this week at work so far, not crazy like the past 2 weeks. Supposed to work this Saturday and I might try and tackle the rear main seal on the Caddy. That is the last big repair, not expensive and I have the parts already. It is just so time consuming.
Hump day is here!
Think I am going to try and do the rear main seal this weekend on the caddy. I think I can talk my boss into letting me start on Friday and hopefully finish up on Saturday. If not then my son in law said he would come with me on Sunday and help me finish. I don't see it taking that long but my boss does not want me working in the shop alone.
I got the caddy up on jack stands and started pulling the transmission out yesterday after lunch. I got the drive shafts off, exhaust y-pipe removed, passenger side tire off and fender liner out, I got the starter pulled and the torque converter bolts out. I also got the wiring harness removed and the cross member out. I need to remove the cooler lines and then I can start on the transmission mounting bolts. I had 2 exhaust nuts that did not want to come off, a little heat from the torch and I got them off. So far it not going too bad. I am hoping to get the transmission out, new rear main seal installed and have it all back together today but not so sure I can do it all today.
