Hey everyone! Pretty recently bought a '92 F150- 5.0, automatic, rwd, love the truck. However- The driver side window will not roll up or down. I can hear the motor turning when I use the switch, but it does nothing. I know the easiest way to find out would be to take that door panel off, but I'd like to get some idea of what I can expect. The window just falls down. Anybody have any idea? Help is appreciated!
Since you can hear the motor my guess is that the gear has stripped out. There is no way around it, you are going to have to remove to door panel either to replace the motor assembly or to replace the drive gear.
You probably just need the 3 round plugs that go inside the window regulator. I had to fix both of mine as they break into pieces over time. I got then at advance auto parts in town but this is what they look like. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/r...yABEgLW0vD_BwE
