No Forward or Reverse Momentum
A strange problem in which my excursion will start, go into gear and move Forward or reverse but not at more than 2-5 miles per hour. No warning signal, and not a consistent problem. One day runs ok, another this problem.
It has shown some funky idle in Park as though - if it had a carb - that it was set too low. Desperate to avoid stealership issue in my small town so any advice very helpful.
Almost the same as when the pipe on turbo came loose a year ago or so....I have to check that when I am not in girly clothes...any ideas?

Mark is the resident super expert when it comes to transmissions, so heed his advice.
Forscan is free and can be used on a Windows laptop with a dongle that is fairly cheap on Amazon. I bought this one:

Just cant wait that long, sadly. Its my only ride...if it had thrown codes I would feel better, actually. Lol too much mystery! It will go on the shoppong list, though.

i meant that the check engine light did not come on. Assumed something that wrong would do so....

That's a bad assumption.
I see two ways to attack this. One way is to read the codes and then we will know where to start.
The other way is I can list a whole bunch of parts. You buy them and install them. This way usually gets it fixed within the first $10,000, but not always. Sometimes it costs more than that until it's fixed.
