2001 reverse shudder

2001 reverse shudder
2001 f150 supercrew 5.4. I get a bad shudder when i go in reverse. Forward gears seem fine. Just reverse. I've changed fluid, didnt make a diference. I dont get any codes. drives great except for reverse. Any ideas?

Reverse is a mechanical operation, no shift solenoids involved.
The internal linkage involved may have come apart.
Only way to tell is drop the pan and look it over but know how it's supposed to be.
There is a case pin involved, so look that over as well.
If all forward operations are ok, I think you will fine the problem with the reverse hardware or it's adjustment.
