Anyone have a front bumper light bar like this that they can recommend? There are tons of companies that make these but since it is going to be the only light bar I have I want to get a good one that will put out some light.
My recommendation would be to pay attention to beam pattern rather than a specific brand. If you plan to do a lot of low speed driving where you want a lot of extra light close to the truck (off road driving), then look at a combo beam pattern. If you plan to use it at all for higher speed driving, I would avoid combo beam patterns and go with spot or narrow driving beams. The reason being is your eyes are drawn to where you put the light. If you're driving fast, you don't care what's right in front of the truck, you want to be looking out several hundred yards. If you put a massive flood light right in front of the truck, your eyes will focus there, making the light bar useless for higher speed driving. Think of it like sitting around a campfire in the woods, plenty bright in front of you but you can't see 5' into the trees because your eyes are too focused on the bright light directly in front of your face.
Personally, I do like Rigid Industries stuff, but there are plenty of other great brands out there. If you go with the Rigid and want to throw light out a good distance, look at the RDS bars. They're all hyperspot LEDs and the bar is radiused so you still get good spread, but a long ways out. I opted for 4 Rigid hyperspot cubes mounted on an Nfab bar. I have them wired to come on with the high beams. Great for higher speed back road driving.
Whatever you end up doing, don't use your light bar with traffic around. Don't be 'that guy'.
I've been impressed with my Nilight brand LED bar. I paid $53 for it, and it's been on my truck for just under a year now. I use it on my way to and from work, every single day (I work nights).
The one I have won't fit in the bumper cutout, but I have it mounted just above the bumper in front of the grille. The brand is G2G from my experience though. I can replace this one every year for 15+ years for the cost of a Rigid if I had to.

Had a couple Nilight cubes as reverse lights on my last truck. One ended up filling with water, which the company replaced under warranty. I decided not to use them on my current truck.
Buddy has them in same location and NE winters have not been kind. They look like crap and the finish is gone though they still work. You get what you pay for. I would go with Rigid or one of the high-dollar companies if I did it again.

Exactly, you get what you pay for, within reason. I've had the Rigid lights on 3 different trucks now where as the cheaper options I've had only lasted a couple years at best. The salt up here just eats up the cheaper lights, finish goes to crap, then they leak, then they fail altogether. For me, it's not worth the headache. I know I could replace a cheap set 5-10x for the cost of a set of Rigids, but lens (beam pattern) is a lot more crisp on the Rigids and the quality and longevity is much better.
My recommendation is to either go with Baja Designs or Rigid. In our experience, those are the two best performing light bars on the market. We run a Baja Designs OnX6+ Arc 40" Light Bar on our shop truck.
Pictured here is a setup with an older E2-Series light bar from Rigid which featured both Hyperspot lights and a Driving pattern. While Rigid has discontinued this exact light bar configuration, they still have the Spot Driving Combo and the full Driving light bar. The brightest option puts out over 47,000 lumens.
If you wanted another setup from Rigid that features adjustable light patterns based upon speed and the ability to have additional features like backlights, we can also run the Rigid ADAPT in that location.
And we don't have the pictures out just yet for Baja Designs, but this is a setup that was available on the previous Gen truck.
We'd be happy to go over options and pricing with you as well to get your setup dialed in. Please let me know if we can help.

Mine were great!
Pro tip: Pop the lens off, seal with silicone, then reinstall. You'll never have a water problem again. I gladly do that to save 99% compared to the "high-dollar" companies.
Blair - congrats on the new truck. It looks great. I like the stealthy mounting. Does the light beam get out and work ok?
Would you share the source and any comments? Thanks.
Thanks, Yes the light does get out and work great. I am sure there is some restriction but I like it and its doing the job. The light is a 30in Putco Luminix. Dealership installed it for me. I have a tremor air dam on order to get rid of that ugly thing.
