That 5.0 and automatic will nestle in there just fine and won't hurt a thing, as long as the trans crossmember gets reinforced and built for the mount.. It's impressive looking on the hoist, though. From that angle I had to do a double take, too, 'cause at first glance it looked like a big block. Keep up the good work!

Slow as you Go. Like already stated, some progress is better than no progress.

Looks like you have a nice big shop to get the job done.
I suggest boxing at least the area of the mounts 18 " or so.
Its a great insurance because henry made these frames to flex but not for the torque of a sbf. Slow and steady wins the race but think it all out before moving ahead.

Keep up the great work!

1) You've Started the project
2) Even slow progress is still progress
3) There's a list a mile long of people who've dreamt about doing this but never start... You're clearly not one of those people!
4) Keep your head down and take one step at a time... and you'll get there before you know it.

And, you know what they say "How do you eat an Elephant?" ... ... One bite at a time.

I'm 3 years in... and probably at least 2 to 3 more to the end of mine...

Your Garage / Shop looks fantastic! I get mine so cluttered up that I can't stand it at times...

Great work!
