which cab would you use?
in the beginning stages of my 76 hiboy restomod project and i have 2 cabs i can use. first set of pics are from the cab on the hi boy now (green) and the second are from a 78 f150 i have that im parting out/ using for parts. i understand the beds have slightly different mounts for the difference in frame width but to the cabs also? it looks to me like the front mounts are the same but ont he hi boy, the rear mounts are outside of the frame and on the 78 the rear mounts are inside the frame rails.

pros an cons of each that i see are
hiboy
pros:
the roof has very little rust
original tot he truck (not a big deal)
most of the rusty panels are readily available
cons:
needs most of the floor replaced
at least the drivers side rocker
both front body mounts need replaced
f150
pros:
front mounts are solid
seems like slightly less work
cons:
roof looks pretty bad, no known replacement available
not sure if it will fit the earlier frame with out major work
