I’m swapping wheels on my ‘18 F250. I currently have 18” wheels and going to 20” wheels. I noticed the caps are different, mounting flanges look the same. What type of lug nuts do I need and where is the best/cheapest place to buy replacement?
also are there any aftermarket splined nuts that will fit with OE caps ? These are the 20’s I’m switching to Currently on truck
The caps snap onto the lugs, which are under the cap shown on your second picture. Have you pulled the cap off and taken a lug nut off to make sure the existing won't work?
Your new wheels look like they take the washer style lug nuts, which are usually the same as the stock lug nuts (but can’t say for sure since the cover is on your stock wheel)
so....you most likely can use the same lug nuts for each set.
I think too that lug nuts have always been included in any new tires and rims that I purchased online. Maybe you have some hidden in the packaging of your new tires
had this site bookmarked for replacement lug nuts if it helps
The nuts and caps off your XL or XLT are 100% compatible and interchangeable with the lariat wheels you have.
I have a set of nuts and caps off a lariat, the difference is the lariat gats chrome nuts and caps with holes for the nuts to show through.
The stock lug nuts will secure the wheel. They will not secure the caps. I did the swap today. The stock caps off the 18’s will snap on the 20” wheels with ease. But the stock 20” caps will not securely grab.
i need lug nuts like the ones posted above.
does anyone have a part # or common place to order besides stealership ?
