Noticed last week when I drove my truck at night that my Beamtech LED's seemed dimmer, but I haven't driven the truck in the dark without my plow on in quite some time. After doing some work on the truck today, I had my lights on in he garage. I noticed I have no upper lights, if I swap the plugs my upper bulbs are good, so that's not the issue. Anyone ever had this problem? There's no fuses that I can find, and there's no power to the upper connector...
I'd suspect something in the plow light wiring harness. Does it use relays, controlled by the plow/truck light switch, to toggle back and forth between the two? If the plow lights stay with the plow when dismounted (like a Boss), I'd be tempted to reconnect the plow wiring and see how it behaves.

Well here's the problem with that...
I haven't run my plow in a month or so, and did not notice this at all until today, when I pulled the boss harness/mount out of the truck to install it on my 2020. You are correct with everything being controlled via relays and the toggle switch...
I had a reverse light out, so I fixed that and put my tail light back on that I had out of the truck to replace. Whatever changed with that being replaced and functional made my headlights work back to normal!

did your upper lights come on with high beams? If your plow harness is like mine there is 6 or so relays and a computer. I would bet one of your relays did not make contact and it is now working. Leds dont draw very much power and the contacs only have to have a speck of dust between them not to make contact with little to no draw. How do you keep your led headlights clear in a snow fall? I ordered my truck with the halogens so i wouldnt have to keep getting out and cleaning them off. Cj

Nope, they didn't work at all, and they are supposed to be on for low and high beam use.
I run boss plows, only relays used for the headlight harness tap in stuff, it's all plug and play really. But I removed my harness prior to noticing my lights didn't work. But once I put the rear of the truck back together it's fine! I run front and back plows, so I'm stripping my 2017 to install everything into my 2020 when it comes.
My headlights seem fine with the beamtech bulbs in them, I honestly don't drive the truck much in the winter without the plow on it, and my plow lights are heated LED's.
Thankfully this issue resolved itself, I was really fretting another trip to the incompetent dealer I've been trying to avoid. Lol.
Glad to see that you got it taken care of. Hopefully it stays that way. I'd guess that there's a loose/corrosion compromised connection somewhere.
I wondered that as well. I looked over everything I had apart countless times last night and again this morning.
If baffles me that it seemed to start working once the tail light bulbs we're back in the truck. Might have been the bcm freaking out because there was zero draw from the back?? Not sure. I've never seen any corrosion on any connection that I've messed with on the truck to date. Hoping it's not an issue anymore, as it's getting sold in a couple weeks, would hate for something to develop after that.
