well i was look'n at pics of everyone's truck and their headlights are all nice a clean. made me a little jelous. my lights look like their filled with dirt, and the lights are more yellow looking then they should. i also have a huge loss of distance the lights should be shinning on. would cleaning them fix the problem? if so how do you remove the headlights and how woudl you go about to clean'n them. thanks.
3M makes a refinish kit, and it works. And no you don't have to remove the lights. I think it is around $30.00 or so. Most auto parts stores carry them. good luck
I used a Mother's polishing ball with the Mother's polish to clear my lenses up.Like said above^^,there are several products out there to use.Try the Sylvania Silver Star bulbs as well.
I polished mine with some Blue Magic headlight cleaner and then installed some high output bulbs, "hella 9007 HO bulbs" and that made a world of difference
With HID kits you will still use the old light lenses. the HID kits are only for the bulbs and ballast as far as I know. Someone else will correct me if Im wrong.
Once you get them clean I would use either mothers or maguires headlight polish everytime you wash the truck just to keep it from happening again plus it is easier to get bugs off the lights when washing it I use it on my grill to just for that reason
