Edge insight CTS2?

I just finished deleting my 19 F-250, I removed the EGR and put a EGT probe out of the exhaust into the exhaust block off plate. I wanted to use my insight cts2 to monitor things but for some reason I can not get it to display the EGT, has anyone ran into this problem? Thanks

After deleting, I purchased a Banks iDash gauge to monitor egt, and tried the same thing as you, and the iDash wouldn't pull up the temp. After discussions with Banks tech support, they concluded that the way the tuner programmer tricked the truck ECM to be happy after the delete was to eliminate that input to it, so plugging a gauge into the OBDII port provided no input - it was no longer there. I ended up purchasing an egt probe from Banks along with a converter to display the temp to their iDash gauge. I know that Edge sells egt probes, but you'd have to call them to see how to get the input to the CTS2..

Yes, I have the Edge CTS I guess it's a 1, didn't know there was a II. Anyway I had the same problem getting EGT. If I remember right I had to get a probe from Edge and put the probe in the EGR block off and run the wire in to the back of the CTS, then it reads a PID that don't show until the wire is plugged into the back of the CTS. I guess you could put the probe anywhere you wanted to. You would just have to tap in the exhaust stream. The EGR block kit I used ( I think it was sinister but not sure) had a block off that went right on the exhaust manifold where the front crossover tube came out. Because it's right on the exhaust manifold it reads a lot hotter than the ones at the end of the down pipe. Hope this helps.

on edit, I just remembered there was something about the probe going in to the block off that I had to over come. I don't remember exactly what it was but I figured it out so I'm sure you can. Just be prepared for it.
