I just bought this 07 f150 screw, I'm thinking about lowering it a little. It's a 2wd truck. I've seen lowering kits ranging from a few hundred on up. I'm not looking to slam this thing on the ground. I'm looking for maybe a few inches. I have a couple of older family members and it is a bit high as is for them getting in and out. Plus I think it would look better a little lower.
i don't know if I want to get into lowering spindles but I wasn't sure how much I can drop the front with springs/shocks before it causes issues. I haven't looked under the rear but I assume like most Ford trucks I've owned it might have blocks I could pull that might get me an inch or so, and then maybe lowering shackles or spring brackets to get another couple inches at least.
I see that a 3/5 drop is somewhat common, at least for kits. Perhaps a kit is the way to go?? Anyone here done this, kit or not? Any pointers?
