This is incorrect. The valves in the E6SE heads are shorter than all other SBF heads because of the deeper chambers
It may be, I was typing that from memory before heading to work. I was thinking they were longer for some reason. I haven't personally pulled them to compare. A quick look on rock auto shows both lengths valves under a Mustang 5.0/ and the town car 5.0. I will have to see if I packed my spec book with me to double check. (at work in Texas right now)
Wow, not very good numbers on these heads, looking back I should have replaced them with GT40 , GT40P or after market when rebuilding the 5.0...... bored 30 over, Magnum Comp Cam Duration 266/270, Lift .533/.533 ,LS 114, Weiand Stealth Intake W/Edelbrock 500cfm Carb, Shorty Block Hugger Headers, 2-1/2" exhaust no H pipe.

No maybe about it. The valve seats are higher above the deck than all other SBF heads, and thus the valve stems are shorter as all other dimensions for the heads are the same. The Towncar, Marquis and Crown Vic's all used this head until 1991 on the 5.0. This is also the reason the pistons in 5.0's that used these heads had no valve reliefs, the valves are well clear of the pistons when fully open.
