You are forgetting that Ford has made 475 hp and 1,050 tq on their 2020 model Power Stroke Diesels.

Maxtor,

Most of the gains that tuners report are at the rear wheel and not the flywheel. So you won't see 480 or 1000. More like 450/960. Still better. However the 200#-ft increase is a bit high for an emissions tune.

If you want more power to the ground you should run this combo again: (don't ask why I saved this pic)

LOL.... That picture was of our old 2006 6.0 pickup that I put the smaller tires and wheels on so I could drive it into the garage. lol,,,,lol...We were not going to use it for an extended time, and it would not fit with the stock wheels and tires.

Yes, Fords 400 hp and 800 torque is probably flywheel horsepower. So if the 80hp and 200 torque is rear wheel hp, then at the flywheel we will be over 480hp and 1000 torque.
Of course it is rear wheel hp and torque that matters.
I didn't buy the tuner for more power, but for economy and removing the speed limiter. Extra power is an added bonus. I could install the race tune, but it is not needed nor wanted for my application.
I passed the smog test today, so will install the economy tune tomorrow or this weekend. I am glad you kept that old picture, I completely forgot about it.

By the way, how have you been? It has been a long time.
Just remembered why I put it away for a long period of time. That was when I had a hip replaced. Since then, I have had both replaced. NOT fun....
Our truck was to tall to fit in the garage with stock wheels and tires. Even with these short tires, it was a close fit.

I've been well. Sold the Wildcat in 2018 and bought a 41' Montana (sucker is heavy at 16-17k). My boys are all teens now (two in college ....or were until last week. Now online only). We still go out jetskiing as the weather permits. I was hoping the State Parks didn't close for camping. We were looking forward to their spring break in April out at the lake. We shall see what the government does.

Apples to oranges. Different turbo among other things I'm sure.

You must be keeping up with Tom, He bought a 42 foot fifth wheel and is now in Florida for the winter. We still have our Wildcat, but don't use it much. Only 21k miles on our 2012 pickup.
All is not well here. Wife has a MAC infection "lungs" cancer and severe osteoporosis and AFIB. I injured my back last week, but should mend with time. Wife is 77 years old and never had problems until 2019. So she is trying to deal with it all.

Sorry to hear about your wife, Max. I wish her and you well. God bless and hang tough.

I lost my father and my sister 13 days apart in 2016. Then we had to put down one of our dogs later that year. My wife and I believe that everything happens for a reason. We came out of that spiritually stronger. You are correct. It's the least I could do to show some humility during these trying times we have been having now for quite some time. I like to pay it forward so to speak. God bless you and your family.

Loosing loved ones is always a hard thing to experience. Loosing a pet sometimes is more difficult than loosing a family member. Our furry son is 13, so time is running out on him.

Sorry to hear about your Dad and Sister. It makes us realize that our family is the most important of all.

Appreciate that thank you sir. It made me a much stronger person both spiritually and mentally. I'm the rock for my family right now in these trying times. My wife asked me if I was worried about what will happen. I said no. I wasn't lying but sure, I am concerned of course. Kind of like what the Rubber Duck said in the movie Convoy, "My daddy also told me be like a duck; be calm on the surface but paddling like the devil underneath." Or something like that. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Things could always be worse.

Let us know what you think of that tuner. Good luck.

Good way to think about things.

On the tuner, I decided to wait until Monday to install it, because if something went wrong, I could call the help line at Superchips and hopefully get some help. If I installed it on the weekend, they would be closed.
