Probably didn't title this right but I'm scratching my head with this one.
I purchased my truck a few years back from a friend. when I purchased truck I was told it had been deleted.
anyway as of recently truck has been losing antifreeze. I found a leak that appeared to be on top of oil cooler .
Out of curiosity I removed egr valve and it was not good ,basically looked like wet soot.
The egr has been removed and all I see is a J shaped pipe just below turbo coming back to the intake.
Truck runs fine ,no smoke or anything but I'm concerned over what the intake look like.
Also I may be wrong but is it possible to remove the intake with pulling the turbo.i honestly think it will out
Since the EGR cooler is no longer attached to the intake, it may be possible to get it sneaked out without removing the turbo -- but really, not that hard to get the turbo off -- then you have plenty of room to maneuver
yes,for the life of me I cannot figure out how it got like it is.
My CAC pipes have a lite film of oil in them so maybe I have some seals going bad in turbo.but that doesn't account for all the soot in the intake unless it wasnt cleaned when the delete was done.
Strange thing though i,'ve owned the truck four years and my friend had it about five before that and truck had been deleted when he bought it.

Because the crankcase on the driver side valve cover has a hose that feeds oil vapor into the intake. It gunks up the turbo, pipes, intercooler and intake manifold. Look up the CCV reroute mod.
