Going o buy a set of the 4800# coils to replace the 5600# set that came with my truck with the added snow plow package. I bought the truck used and could not find one with the camper package that didn't come with the snow plow prep.
So going to a spring that will ride better and should lower the front an 1" or so. Will I need to get an alignment or do anything else when I change the coils?
According to what I found the shock has the same part number with or without the snow plow prep,
Lowering the front will increase your caster, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. It will also shift your axle to the passenger side a little due to the trackball being a fixed length and you will have to recenter your steering wheel....so yes you probably should get an alignment.
always get an alignment when modifying the suspension ie springs, leveling kit or changing anything dealing with geometry of vehicle...50-100.00 is money well spent.
