konnor: There is also a search function, and there are very few questions which haven't already been asked and answered multiple times, so it never hurts to have a look before posting

Fuel sending unit. Assuming you have the in-cab tank.

Dennis carpenter also has them. It's a toss up on who has the best quality.

Okay so I got a good look at the shift linkage bushings today and they did in fact seem pretty cracked, I guess the PO had installed them a couple years ago. So when these get replaced should that tighten up the shift lever?

i also have to do a bit of searching to get to third gear and when it’s in the shift lever moves quite a bit. So I’m assuming the pin is worn too?

Another place for slop is at the shift lever where it goes into the column. There is a rubber bushing that goes on the end of the lever-handle and into the shift collar. Also, the retaining pin can wallow out the holes in the shift collar. And then where the lever arm goes into the shift tube in the steering column can also become wallowed out.
So, start with the bushings and retainer clips. The same clips are used at each end of the linkages. There is a procedure in the shop manual for adjusting the linkages. Do that first and then start investigating the column.

Inside the shift collar is an internal bridge that connects it to the shift tube. Overtime the bridge begins to crack, eventually breaks off.

Now, you aren't going anywhere, because the shift collar is no longer connected to the shift tube.

Okay looked at the sender unit today and it’s rusted beyond repair. So where should I purchase the new one from? NPD has one which has all good reviews, any opinions on this suppliers or any other ones?

The repro is made in China, so your guess is as good as mine what the quality is.
