tuner/program for the newb
I just bought a stock 97 7.3 cc 2wd with 127K miles on it. I do not pull anything of consequence (fifth wheel or trailer or big boat). I just drive on the interstate a lot. I have been advised I may want a tuner/program to increase power, performance, and to a small degree mileage. I would like any information on what if anything I should look at. I would like to keep it under $500 if I go that route. I live in Florida so there is no inspection issue. Thanks for your information. Jack

Ok. Hydra is the “go-to” platform currently. I would recommend an intake, exhaust, and consider some gauges as well. I asked about the trans because I have a couple older ones which are already programmed for manual trucks.
