Question Tuner?

I have a 2002 350 SCLB. 7.3 which is stock except KN intake and Banks Monster exhaust. I have 35 BFG All terrains and I would like to purchase a tuner but not sure what kind I want. A buddy of mine has a 2000 and has a DP tuner which makes his CEL go on when he accelerates. I have talked to many people about the DP Tuner and they all love it. Personally, I am leaning towards Superchips mainly because my dad has the same truck as me and uses it to tow our camper on vacations and I can put my truck back to stock and tune his for the trip. I dont need the truck to be fast I would just like a little more power. Any help or suggestions are appreciated thanks!

The DP will run circles around the superchip. The shift on the fly advantage of the DP is nice also.

I think that you would be happier with the DP but that is just an opinion. I know that is what I am getting when I have the $$$

The dp-tuner has a wide variety of tunes to choose from including stock and valet. It's more flexable when you do want to go fast, pull more or get better economy. Plus you can always talk to Jody in person err.. I guess over the phone.

Tuner?

I installed a DP F5 about three weeks ago... The difference between the programmer I had before and the DP chip... NO COMPARISON! You will NOT regret the DP..

Had the Superchip, it helped with the shifting stratagies and a bit more power but nothing is like 'Custom Tunes", no comparision. Not only can I git up and go but the towing tunes are phenomenal. Do your research.

Superchips , edge, bully dog, and banks are all junk compared to a custom tune

Just to be sure here.... Unless both trucks have the exact same PCM with few exceptions, the DP (or any other custom tuner) is out. I think for what he says he wants, a programmer is fine. Custom tuning is obviously much better, but in this case, a portable programmer may be better....

To the OP -- look into some other programmers out there. There may be some better options. Again, I haven't run any of them, and I may be stating the obvious here.... If your truck is indeed EXACTLY the same (same PCM), then a custom tuner will be better hands, down like the guys said....

Contact Jody directly, at dptuner.com send him an e-mail, and he or james will get back with you that day or the next.

Another vote for the DP here. With regards to your buddy's truck throwing the CEL, DP also has no codes tunes that won't do that.
