My brother installed updated side tow mirrors on his 2003 7.3 and they look and work great. It has running and turn signal lights which is what I really would like on my early 1999 7.3 and want to make sure it has the same wiring harness to plug and play as his 2003. Can anyone confirm before I order a set?
It wont all be plug & play. My late 99 Lariat wasnt full plug and play, but my updated mirrors came with an adapter plug so the electric mirrors worked. Have to wire up lights and heater from a source on my own
They come with Syppo brand mirrors (I recommend this brand).
I have several extra adapters. I’ll be happy to send you a pair.
Awfully kind of you, Jason. Let me go back through my parts box where I accumulated a group of components for the install. There may be a chance I actually have a pair of adapters and just don't recall getting them, and if that is indeed the case, I'd hate to take them and inadvertently deny someone else of being able to benefit from your generosity. If I find that I don't have them, I'll reach out when I'm ready to complete the install.
Roll of the dice. Some of those are garbage. Fun house glass, vibrate to the point of not being useful, poor fit, adjustment motors fail out of the box...
I have bought at least a couple dozen of the Syppo mirrors and had zero complaints.

No problem, just let me know. I installed most of the mirrors I bought from Syppo and kept the adapters when not needed. I was gonna sell them and retire, but I could probably give away a couple sets and still be ok!!
Looks like this is all they have right now.
There have been times they were out of smoked lenses or amber lenses. I was on email list and ordered when they got more.
I just talked with my brother and he said he had to wire the running lights and flashers separately...but it was quite easy.
Thanks for the link. I am not sure I like the chrome on the mirrors for my truck, but will take a 2nd look anyway.
Also thanks for the links to the how-to video and the 2016 thread.
I just had my truck painted and these mirrors will be an excellent addition. My brother also says he really likes the improved visibility they have over the stock ones on his Lariat. The mirrors would be even better if they were just 2" longer when towing his trailer.
I installed these on my 2000 F250 super duty - https://www.ebay.com/itm/for-99-07-F...53.m2749.l2649
Needed to run some wiring to get the clearance/turnsignal lights to work but other than that it was pretty straight forward.
For anyone buying these mirrors for a 2000 model the wire coding is as follows: New Mirror wiring: White - attaches to black, on OEM plug on 2000 model Yellow - attaches to Dk Blue (left side) Brown (right side) on OEM plug on 2000 model Orange - attaches to Red (left side) Green (right side) on OEM Plug on 2000 model Blue - powers the parking light (lower light on mirror) Red - powers turn signal light Gray - powers heat Black - Ground
I ran four conductor wire through for my mirrors (basic four-way trailer wire). I updated my door harness to the 05-07 mirror plug which worked well for the 05-07 OEM mirrors I had, as well as the 08+ A1 Auto mirrors I currently have.
For the markers I tapped into the wiring behind the headlight switch, and turns I got from the harness coming off the steering column.
