Just upgraded to the '08 mirrors on my '03 xlt and there was no plug there waiting for me! I have the gray rectangle plugs that the newer model PSD's had with the heat and lights so there was room in the plug for the wires. Just had to buy the pins from ford. The wiring is not all that hard and well worth it if you ask me to be able to have heated mirrors!

I have an '03 and put the lighted '04 and up mirrors. There was no plug and play operation there. We had to make our own harness but it wasn't hard at all. The one thing I will caution you about is, make sure you insulate the wires better than I did, when I have my lights on and am listening to the radio on AM, I get a lot of interference. I don't have the link for the mirror install instructions on this computer, but sometime tonight I will link to it from home.
