VERY intermittent Stall when decelerating
05 F350 --stalls ONLY while decelerating usually once slowed down to around 35 MPH and below. We throw it into neutral and it starts right up and runs fine. Usually happens only once if it happens at all, as to my VERY intermittent point. Has been doing this for several months now..we dont drive it everyday. Might drive it several times 50-100 miles with no stalling then out of nowhere stall. Truck runs smooth as glass other than this. Garage of course could not get it to happen on test drive and sees no codes. Recent oil and air filter change did not resolve.
Truck is bullet proofed and we even ponied up and got the BPD air to oil cooler done if thats of interest to note. Its studded, no coolant puke, no smoke, happens wither towing or not. We tow approx 5,000lb horse trailer occasionally so nowhere near its max load.
Low mile truck at 79K does have newly built transmission 1 year ago and new batteries within last year. IF there is a part that at this age should proactively be replaced that isnt an arm and a leg im willing to proactively do that as well just dont know where to start and im glad the garage was honest in saying they didnt want to just take a stab in the dark without more info.
Any ideas?? I just dont want to get left sit esp while towing horses its a bit unnerving when your engine cuts out!!

My 07 would stall occasionally when I would stop and start a shift into reverse. Looked at a few things but never found a cause.
The alternator died, I replaced it, and it never stalled again.
Looking at that in hindsight, I don't wonder if the stalling was my first symptom of a failing alternator.
