Multiple taps from battery

So I now have the sub woofer amp, the on board air compressor and next I am installing the winch. Looking for some ideas on what others have done for multiple taps instead of just piling them all onto the one stud. Saw a few options on Amazon

i add an extra fuse block for my ARB compressor and auxiliary lighting, added another one in my center console for comm gear. Amps are run off the 3rd leg of the tap with a separate in line fuse close to the battery ( just out of pic ). lighting relays labeled 123 in bottom corner

The word on the street is that @F0rdc0wb0y is just about ready to release his OEM inspired fuse block/relay block design and implementation... He is not ready quite yet, but soon if you can wait a little while longer?

In addition and concerning your other choices above, I have installed 2 of those and would recommend them, but perhaps not as you would like to use them.

The Fastronix 3/8" blocks I installed in the front storage compartment of our 5th wheel when I was installing a self sufficient off grid solar system. You can see the blocks in the middle of the picture mounted in a vertical orientation.

Despite these blocks working quite well in the solar setup, I would question them being used in the truck due to space constraints and a good mounting location. I did have trouble with one bolt stripping out the mounting seat, but was able to remedy that by putting a socket on the back side of the block and holding the bolt in place. Other than that, the blocks look great, work great and protect the connections and lugs from debris or getting damaged.

The Blue Sea Systems MRBF I installed in my truck when I was fortifying the positive and negative wiring and connections under the hood. You can see it in my thread linked here which is called "My truck needed to be more positive"... I got the idea of using this from Y2KW57 who I consider a very reputable source for advice and good conversation. He had a similar setup when he installed his Neece Leville alternator.

The others I don't have any any experience with, but I do have hopes and dreams to install a fuse/relay block like F0rdC0wboy is installing right now and about to unveil to the world when it is ready. I don't know how close he is to being finished, but I certainly don't want to rush him so I will not give any estimated date of release. From what I gather though, it will be a clean and safe install.

What Pirate posted "might" work as well, but for those of us with non-snorkel intakes or would like remotely mounted fuse/relay blocks, there are better options available.

unfortunately they fo not make the triple tap i used any longer but these from TH Marine are good.

also, these waterproof fuse and relay boxes are much better then the one I used on my Ex.

( they were not available back when i did mine or I would have used them )

It looks like you could attach one of those blue sea double terminals to each battery off of a military style post terminal. They make good quality stuff AFAIK.

Some good ideas, Sous I though about using Velcro to attach the terminal block to the snorkel. Does everyone try to use the driver side battery? I put my air compressor on the passenger side, maybe that was a mistake. Brandon those are nice, probably best used on the driver side though instead of the pass side double cable. If I recall the cable down to the starter is 4/0? Pirate4x4 you did a nice job, more good ideas. I'll see what F0rdc0wb0y has to show.

Starter lead is 2/0 on the stock cable.

Yeah with the OEM style + cable I don't think one of those would work on the passenger side...angle would be wrong. Driver side would probably work good.

I'd be curious to see this Fordcowboy option.

What I am currently working on focuses on auxiliary power on the interior of the truck. Once everything is finished on the interior I'll move on to adding auxiliary power under the hood.

Sous,
Do you know if those Blue Sea fuses have any time delay? Not sure if the'y work on a winch motor that can momentarily spike in amps quite high.

I do not know sir. I looked around a bit for some information on if the fuses were slow blow/surge tolerant or not and could not find a definitive answer. Perhaps @Y2KW57 has a yes or no answer for you right off the top of his head.

I have these VGate terminal thingys going on. Pretty handy.

The holes pass thru. The cable on left is actually a continuous 1/0 from alternator- crossover to pass side batt-back to alternator. The other connection is for a batt tender permanently installed on truck. With this connection there is some flexibility on how to attach wiring of diff sizes.
