I replaced the aftermarket radio with a Ford OEM single disc am/fm radio this past year and had no problems. It now will not always come on (no lights on radio, not even the clock) and the clock will lose an hour overnight. Aggravating but the radio will eventually come on, sometime a couple of minutes, yesterday didn't come on for an hour.
Today I had the oil changed and now the air bag light is flashing on the dash cluster. I'm thinking I have some kind of wiring problem.
I reinstalled the other (aftermarket radio); problem solved. Must be an internal issue with the OEM Ford radio (eBay special).
I removed and reinstalled the connector under the seat several times. Airbag light now goes out. I may need to do some corrosion control on electrical connectors.
My 06 E350 is electronically challenged.
the speed of the heater blower motor fluctuates the always on headlights are on for awhile off for a while. Other strange things happen occasionally . I'm trying to find a good shop to take it to but haven't yet.
Ill tell ya , high school graduating seniors should find a trade school for automotive electrical diagnosing and repair. A person could make a good living if they were good at solving electrical/electronic issues with modern vehicles.
I’ve noticed when I slow speed to turn at an intersection, code 19 flashes. Once I get back up to speed (45 or higher) the light stays out until I again, turn at an intersection. Reduced speed, engine at idle; I’m thinking bad cable, battery, or alternator. Your thoughts?
Turns out the air bag light was a broken clock spring; the cruise control lights on the steering wheel would also flash before changing it.
Still working on the clock losing time.
