I have a 2019. It is not harder to turn the wheel; however, it takes a bit of driver input to bring the wheel back to center. In other words, if you are accustomed to turning a corner and then letting the wheel free spin back to center, it still does this but obviously not as fast.

One trick to guys wanting to use a boot over the piston. Put the boot on when the shock is COMPRESSED with the strap !! Bolt it up and cut the strap after. I cut the strap on the first one and barely got it compressed enough to get it on. Second one I put boot on first, then cut strap. Just a little trick and will save you a few choice words.
If anything, you need them shorter and not longer. Many come in various colors but they all turn black eventually even when you try to keep them clean so you might as well start out with black and go with it.

Did u remove the stock stabilizer? I did before I installed the PMF Dual Stabilizer, steering is smooth as silk.
