Hooked up ForScan to change my tire rpm and I found some codes I'd like help with please.
B1352 - Something about instrument cluster ignition key circuit fault?
B1342 - Overhead trip computer. It's working fine just the compass sometimes goes out.
P1249 - Wastegate control valve. I do have the red line removed from Wastegate and plugged. Maybe that's the cause?
I ended up having to install an older version and with that it gave me a new code P0500 - VSS sensor circuit fault. No clue what that could be.
B1352 is common with fords, every ford I've owned, mostly gassers get that code when the ignition craps the bed. does it chime randomly or with the key off or barely on?
no idea on the second,
Probably/very likely
Subscribing,
ForScan gave me the same VSS code in my 7.3, and V-10 as well. Although both speedos are registering MPH.
I was using ForScan for the same thing.
Although with the larger tires (33), that VSS code may be valid as there may be a discrepancy between the transmission input and output speed sensor readings compared to the differential VSS sensor. Just guessing there.
Maybe setting the proper RPM with the larger tires may get rid of the P0500.
B1352 is normal when the door chime when open is defeated. Like on my truck.
Clear codes and see what comes back.
IIRC you had this truck a long time. When was the last time you cleared codes?
The door does chime when opened. It also has a Revelco Theft System on it. Yes it has been owned new since my Dad and I bought it off him back in 2016. Never cleared any codes. Guess I will do that and find out.

I did change my tire RPM from 655 to 622 per manufacturer. Maybe that is causing the P0500? My tires are 295/75/16.
